Step inside a cursed speakeasy frozen on Halloween night, 1926. The music is still playing… but something is off.
The guests who were there that night never left, and the drinks being served have a way of waking the dead. 100 years later, the door has reopened.
This October, experience the haunting that occurred a century ago and uncover the mysteries that lay within The Phantom Tavern.

The Phantom Tavern is an interactive, immersive bar experience. Guests will step into a bar frozen in 1926, grounded in real Oil Boomtown-era Huntington Beach history.
Guests will be seated inside this speakeasy and are able to order drinks and food. Expect special room-activations surrounding the chilling story of how the bar was haunted, including flashing lights, audio jumps, and live actors.
Our attraction is theatrical, but slow-paced, designed to fully immerse you in the story and characters of The Phantom Tavern the fateful night it was cursed in time.
The Phantom Tavern runs on reservations. Admission to the event is $15 per person, but your ticket isn't just an entrance fee. The $15 deposit can be redeemed toward one food or drink item within the experience once you arribe. Enjoy something from the bar or kitchen as the story unfolds around you.

Do I need a reservation?
Yes, reservations are required for the tavern. Reservations can be made in-person on days where it is not already fully booked; however we strongly recommend booking online beforehand, as spacing is limited and filling up quickly. Make a reservation here.

The Phantom Tavern is atmospheric and immersive, rather than a traditional haunted house. Expect dim lighting, period music, live actors, and occasional room activations including strobing lighting effects and loud audio moments. That being said, it is still a horror event and may not be suitable for all audiences.

The Phantom Tavern is 21+ with valid ID during operating hours of 8pm to 1am.

Free 90-minute parking is available in the garage at 320 Walnut Ave. Paid street parking is also available nearby along PCH.

The Phantom Tavern serves a curated cocktail menu themed to the event, along with light bites. Both will be revealed closer to the event dates.

No dress code required. The venue is indoors. That said, 1920s speakeasy attire is always welcome and fits the atmosphere.

Play a family-friendly, 9-hole mini-golf course surrounded by neon lights, classic Halloween music, and fun and ghostly Halloween characters and actors. In addition, check out the arcade, craft cocktails, and full-service restaurant.

Yes. Playground's Halloween Mini Golf runs until 1am on Fridays and Saturdays, so you can play a round before or after your time in The Phantom Tavern. Both experiences are in the same venue.

To appease the ghosts of The Phantom Tavern... reservations require a $15 deposit per person. This deposit goes towards your tab of drinks, mocktails, or small bites at the event.
